Weight-bearing and cardiovascular activities stress the body. As a result of that stress, we enhance our strength and endurance. By pushing our physical boundaries, we optimize our athletic performance. But this process is almost always at the cost of feeling some level of pain.
Degenerative Changes in the Elbow Joint after Radial Head Excision for Fracture: Quantitative 3-Dimensional Analysis in Bone Density, Stress Distribution and Bone Morphology
It is hypothesized that radial head excision causes bone density changes as a result of asymmetric stress distributions, consequently leading to osteophyte formation. In this study, we sought to quantitatively compare the 3-dimensional bone density and stress distributions between operative and non-operative elbows in patients that underwent radial head excision.
